Tsavo East and Tsavo West offer an exceptional safari experience that will take you through breathtaking landscapes, from viewing Mzima Springs, with its fifty million liters of crystal-clear water flowing from burnt lava rock, to the spectacular lava flows of Shetani. The Tsavo savanna ecosystem encompasses open grasslands, scrub and acacia woodland, riverside vegetation and rocky ridges, including Poacher’s Lookout, where visitors can view the herds of animals that populate the plains below.
Tsavo West is renowned for offering some of the most stunning gaming viewing in the world. Attractions include elephants, rhinos, hippos, lions, cheetahs, leopards, buffalo and a rich variety of plants and birds, including the threatened corncrake and the rare Basra Reed Warbler.
Overview
Day 1
Your adventurous journey begins with pickup from your Mombasa hotel in the morning as we head to Tsavo East National Park. This park is famous for its amazing elephant population and notorious lion hunters. Along the way, you’ll pass the Aruba Dam before arriving at the Aruba Camp/Sentrim Camp/Voi Safari Lodge, where you’ll have lunch. In the afternoon, another exciting game drive will take you through the park, allowing you to capture the magnificent views and wonders of African wildlife. You will be welcomed to your lodge for the night.
Day 2
In the morning, the morning game drive will take you back to the lodge for a delicious breakfast. After refueling, we will start the safari towards Tsavo West, with destination Ngulia Safari Lodge. After check-in and lunch, you will have the opportunity to visit the rhino sanctuary, and if you are lucky, you might even witness a leopard trap. You will stay at Ngulia Safari Lodge for the night.
Day 3
An exciting morning begins with a breakfast game drive, followed by a visit to Mzima Springs. Afterwards, you will begin the journey back to Mombasa/Malindi/Watamu and have lunch at Voi Wildlife Lodge. After lunch, you will return to your respective destinations, arriving late in the evening.
